Local Assisted Living Hosts Canned Food Drive

On Thursday, January 14th, Country Cottage presented God’s Storehouse with a check for $250 and canned food items as part of their second annual Partnership in Caring food drive to help families who are struggling this winter season.

Country Cottage would like to thank their partners, NHC Home Care and CareAll Home Care, for their support during this event.

“With increasing utility costs, food prices, job shortages and the changing economy, we are afraid that a lot of elderly and disabled folks might need a little extra help this year.

Many people will make hard decisions about how to keep their homes warm, buy their medications and feed their families.  We wanted to help these people by supporting the community in every way possible,” said Managing Director, Lisa Chapman, LPN.  “Thank you to everyone who joined us to help support this wonderful cause.”

Country Cottage is located at 469 Weakley Creek Road.  For more information about A Partnership in Caring or Country Cottage, please call Mary Sue Troup, Information Director at 766-0660 or visit us online at www.cottageassistedliving.com
