Man arrested for peeking in windows while under influence of drugs

Police officers arrested a Lawrenceburg man who was allegedly looking into his neighbors’ windows while under the influence of drugs Wednesday.

At around 4:00 p.m. residents of Sixth Street requested that a police officer be dispatched, after a “suspicious person” began banging on their doors and peering through their windows. Officers confronted Matthew Shane Parsons, 28, of 506 Sixth Street, about the incident.

They report that he admitted he had used meth shortly before. He said that he had gone to the other homes trying to find his wife.

Because they felt that Parsons was a danger to himself and to the general public, officers arrested him and transported him to the Lawrence County Jail.

He was incarcerated on a public intoxication charge with bond set at $1,000. He is required to appear in General Sessions Court on Thursday, February 7, 2019.
