Authorities Find Stolen Motorcycle During Search

While assisting with the execution of a search warrant in neighboring Maury County last week, local authorities were able to recover part of a motorcycle recently reported stolen by a Lawrenceburg resident.

The discovery was made while agents with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were assisting Members of the Maury County Drug Task Force in executing the search warrant at the 9391 Hodge Road, Mount Pleasant, home of Scott Isabell, around 4:30 Thursday afternoon.

During the search agents report finding a stripped motorcycle frame. They ran a check on the Vehicle Identification Number and discovered it had been reported as stolen by Pulaski Highway resident Peggy McCree.

Agents report that only the frame of the 2008 Harley Davidson XSA, valued at $29,000, was recovered. The frame was impounded and transported to the Maury County Impound Lot pending further investigation.

Although Isabell was arrested on unrelated charges, reports indicated he claimed no knowledge regarding the motorcycle. He had not been charged in connection with the vehicle theft at the time reports were filed.
