Chamber Will Sponsor Workshop On Doing Business With The Government

The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a workshop to provide employers with information on “The Basics of Government Contracting”.  The workshop will be held Thursday, January 15th from 10:00 until 1:00 at the South Central TN Career Center located at 702 Mahr Avenue in Lawrenceburg.

Attendees will learn how to do business with the State of Tennessee and be introduced to the basics of Federal Government contracting. The workshop is open to any employer from small business to manufacturing.

This session will include presentations from Russell Toone and Debbie Barber with the University of Tennessee Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Michelle Proctor, Director of the Business Enterprise Resource Office with TN Department of Economic & Community Development, and Myra Fisher with the Small Business Administration. Employers interested in pursuing government contracts will be given information on scheduling a free and confidential counseling session.

Lunch will be provided and an RSVP is requested by Monday, January 12th.
