Lawrence Has Not One, But Two New Year’s Babies
Four days into the new year Lawrence County has not one, but two New Year’s babies.
Twins Kalee Beth and Kasen Michael Odom were born at Crockett Hospital 7:06 and 7:07 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010, to proud parents Casey and Tara Beth Odom.
Delivered by Jason Mullenix, M.D., Kalee weighed in at four pounds, fifteen ounces while Kasen weighed five pounds, seven ounces.
Maternal grandparents are Allen and Jimmi Huckaba. Paternal grandparents are Michael and Lisa Odom.
The New Year’s babies were the recipients of a gift basket containing numerous baby gifts and baby supplies.
In a press release issued through the hospital, Interim Chief Executive Officer Ron Tyrer stated, “The first baby of the year born at Crockett Hospital is a distinction for the family and a special event for all of us at the hospital. The fact that this year they are twins makes it doubly exciting.
“I would like to thank the staff of the Women’s Center for making the “First Babies of the Year” a truly special event for Casey, Tara Beth, Kalee and Kasen. On behalf of the entire staff of Crockett Hospital we extend our sincere congratulations to the parents on the birth of their twins.”
