Wife Assaults Husband Inside Workplace

A Lawrenceburg woman was placed under arrest last week after she allegedly entered her husband’s workplace and assaulted him, then drove to his girlfriend’s apartment and committed a second assault.

Officials at Acu-Cast Technologies, LLC, 3535 Waynesboro Highway, summoned Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies to the industry around 5:40 a.m. after a ruckus broke out there. They reported that an employee had been assaulted by his wife.

The victim, age 57, reported that his wife had entered the industry uninvited and refused to leave. He stated that she began grabbing his crotch and tore his blue jeans. When he attempted to get away, the victim reported that his wife began striking him, breaking his nose. The suspect, Judy Ann Hendrick, 46, of 83 Key West Road, West Point, was reportedly gone upon deputies’ arrival.

At 5:53 a.m., officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were dispatched to 2104 Springer Road to intervene in an incident in which Hendrick was also reported to be involved.

The resident, age 26, told officers that her boyfriend’s wife, Hendrick, had kicked her door in and entered her apartment. Hendrick, she reported, grabbed her by the shirt and dragged her outside. The victim told officers that Hendrick stated, “if she didn’t shut up she would be choked to death.” She indicated that this had placed her in fear for her safety. They noted that the victim had sustained a torn shirt and red marks about her neck.

When officers arrived, they report that Hendrick had returned to her vehicle and was attempting to leave the scene. She told officers that she had come to the home to explain to the victim “the dangers of her husband,” and to “get some of her deceased mother’s possessions” that were inside the apartment.

Officers placed Hendrick under arrest on charges of aggravated burglary, assault, and vandalism and transported her to the Lawrence County Jail. Once there, Hendrick was additionally charged with the crimes of aggravated domestic assault and criminal trespassing in regards to the attack against her husband.

Hendrick is scheduled to answer the city charges through Lawrence County General Sessions Court on Thursday, February 5, and the county charges through the same court on Monday, January 19.
